 Fergie was born Stacy Ann
Ferguson on March 27, 1975 in California.
Prior to becoming a member of the Black Eyes Peas, Fergie appeared in Kids
Inc. for 5 years in the 80s and was a
member of the group Wild Orchid.
Between the disappointment of her first
group's success and her second group's
massive success, Fergie got addicted to
crystal methamphetamine. She said of her
recovery from addiction: "It was the
hardest boyfriend I ever had to break up
with. I dug deep as to why I got there. It's
the drug that's addicting. But it's why you
start doing it in the first place that's
interesting. A lot of it was being a child
actor; I learned to suppress feelings."
Fergie had beaten her addiction by the time
she joined the Black Eyes Peas in 2003.
