 Carly released The
Bedroom Tapes. A song on the LP,
"Scar" inadvertendly deals with
Carly's struggle with cancer: "One day
in my bathtub I was looking out the window at
snow and I wrote the first verse. I was
thinking about my scar and how it is
something that would make a person who is
loved more lovable. If you love somebody, you
just want to kiss and protect their scars -
you want to protect the things about them
that make them vulnerable."
