Jelly Roll

- Jelly Roll, aka Jason
DeFord, was born on December 4, 1984 and raised
in Nashville, Tennessee. His teenage and early
adult years included many arrests and prison time
for various events. Eventually Jelly Roll turned
his life around and towards music that
incorporated singing and songwriting, with a
focus on Southern rock, rap, and the blues. Many
of his lyrics turn to his past struggles with
addiction and being a better version of himself.

Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart for 1
week with "Dead Man Walking."
- November 9: Jelly Roll performed at
the Grand Ole Opry.
- January 14: Jelly Roll topped the

- July 15: Jelly Roll topped the
