On May 14th, legendary crooner,
Frank Sinatra, died of a heart attack at the
age of 82 in Los Angeles. Sinatra had been in
failing health for a few years and was with
his wife when he passed away. Bono of U2 (who worked with
Sinatra on a track from Duets) said of the man:
"Frank Sinatra was the 20th century. He
was modern, he was complex, he had swing and
he had attitude. He was the boss but he was
always Frank Sinatra. We won't see the likes
of him again. He was the big bang of pop -
the man invented pop music." Tony Bennett said of Sinatra:
"The master is gone but his voice will
live forever." Sinatra's music surged
sharply during a weekend of tributes and
remembrances to the singer following his
death. Some stores reported to Reuters sales
10 times more than normal. The most popular
LPs have been Sinatra's latest collaboration
projects: Duets and Duets
