The Jonas Brothers, Kevin, Joe, and
Nick, hail from New Jersey. Prior to forming as a
trio, Nick Jonas began in entertainment at
the age of 7 appearing on Broadway and several
plays: A Christmas Carol (2000), Annie
Get Your Gun (2001), Beauty And The
Beast (2002), and Les Miserables
(2003). Nick had a hit song on Christian radio
stations with "Joy To The World (A Christmas
Prayer)" which he co-wrote with his father.
During this time, Joe appeared on Broadway in La
Boheme. In 2004, Nick released the single
"Dear God" and a new recording of
"Joy To The World (A Christmas
Prayer)." Attempts to release Nick's solo LP
Nicholas Jonas were delayed and
eventually led to the formation of the Jonas
Brothers after the president of Columbia Records
didn't care for the solo LP but liked Nick's
voice - especially after hearing him with his 2
brothers.
