 
During 2002, Norah Jones slowly burst onto the music
scene with her jazz and folk sound and elegant
musical styling. Prior to attempting a solo career,
Norah studied jazz piano at the University of North
Texas and was a member of the groups "Laszlo'
and 'Wax Poetic' after joining the New York music
scene. She signed with Blue Note Records and released
the EP Norah Jones First Sessions. Her short
summer stint in New York City ended up having her
hook up with songwriter Jesse Harris and bassist Lee
Alexander and started a journey to multi-Grammy
nominations.
