Owl City is actually one man: Adam Young from
Minnesota. Young has said that his love of creating
music stemmed from his bouts of insomnia and hours of
creating music in his parents' basement. After the
release of 2 independent 'electro-pop' LPs which hit
the Top 20 on the Billboard Electronic Albums chart
and gaining notice on MySpace, Owl City gained
worldwide success with his official debut LP Ocean
Eyes. The
first single "Fireflies" became a hit pop songs video that
helped further launch the interest in Owl City.
