 Faith Hill was born Audrey Faith
Perry Hill on September 21, 1967, in
Mississippi. Faith grew up singing at 4H
Club's, family reunions, churches, and
eventually country fairs. When Faith turned
19, she went to Nashville to determine if she
could make it as a country singer. It took a
few odd jobs before Faith was discovered
while working at a music publishing company
and eventually cut a demo of a track named
"It Scares Me." But it still wasn't
until the 90s when Faith's debut LP started
her success on the country charts and
eventually crossing over to the pop charts.
CDNow described Faith as "...(embodying)
everything alternative country purists hate:
she's got runway-model good looks, she
doesn't write her own material, and her sound
pops way more than it twangs."

Me As I Am.
