• Nicki Minaj was born Onika Tany Maraj on December 8, 1984 in Trinidad and Tobago and raised in New York after turning 5. After a few mix tapes, Nicki began to make a name for herself showing up on tracks by major rap artists before releasing her much anticipated debut LP in 2010.
