Ne-Yo was born Shaffer C. Smith

found success as a songwriter before
attempting his own solo music career and has

J. Blige, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Faith Evans,
Fabolous, and B2K, and co-writing (with
Scott Storch and Kam Houf) Mario's #1 hit "Let Me
Love You."
